Tomas is a peace activist who has worked internationally and has also participated in the Peace and
Reconciliation programme in Northern Ireland in the aftermath of the ceasefire. His talk explored
alternatives to violence as a means of conflict resolution. Tomas outlined the need for, and the effectiveness of, open, honest
and respectful communication in attempting to resolve conflict at national and international
level….and these same principles are equally effective at a personal level.
Tomas called on his extensive international experience to demonstrate that the only effective means of
resolving conflict is through dialogue.
Tomas’s presentation was informative and engaging and there was general agreement that people would like
to hear more of his vast experience.
