The Climate Conversation

 

This session will explore the following: 

Greenhouse gas emissions, targets, Paris Agreement, global warming,

household consumption, the meaning of carbon neutral and why these are important.  

How climate change occurs? What is a carbon footprint and how is it measured?

How we produce greenhouse gases in our daily actions (transport, housing, food and waste)?

Impacts from climate change. Trends in greenhouse gas emissions since the 1950s and 1960s.

Why we need to take action on climate and what actions we need to take?

 

 

 


Jacinta Barrins is a retired UN diplomat having served as UN Resident Coordinator and

UNDP Resident Representative in Asia and Africa. Jacinta hosts “Climate Conversations”

encouraging and supporting discussions on the challenges faced to reduce carbon

footprint and to influence others to become involved.
